Getting Started

VT4 is compatible with Apple, Android, Samsung, and Windows devices, and works on smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

For your convenience, the VT4 app is responsive to the device you’re using – no separate app required.

VT4 works over both WiFi and cellular, and there’s no specific phone carrier you have to use.

If your business only accepts cash, check, or loyalty points, you can use the phone or tablet you already own – no special equipment required. If you need a payment device, check out the devices we work with.

Yes, VT4 will work in areas with spotty or no connectivity when you are logged into the app.

With VT4, you won’t lose any of your in-app data if you delete and then reinstall the app.

How It Works

Only those employees that you create as an Administrator or a Billing Administrator will be able to add other employees to your account. If you don’t assign any employees to those roles, then none of your employees will be able to add other employees to your account.

Yes, but only if you give them the permissions to do so. For example, an employee assigned to a VT4 Clerk role cannot issue refunds, even for their own transactions.

Yes. As an Administrator, you can go into 4tress, select VT4 > Settings > Tender, and select the tender types that you’d like to accept as payment options.

We do not restrict the number of employees you can add to your account, so feel free to add as many employees as necessary.

Yes. The check feature is a recording-only feature at this time.

To protect our merchants from the possible security risks that are associated with refunding a transaction to a different card, refunds can only be issued back to the card used to purchase the item.
